Easy Outdoor Environments

Franklin 3D lets you simulate elements of the natural and not so natural world so you can create and mix indoor and outdoor environments. Because you can use simple 2D maps for most effects, its easy to hand work off to an artist to create highly customized environments.

Easy Terrain Loading and Rendering

Franklin 3D supports simple, standard methods of terrain generation. Use almost any grayscale heightmap terrain generator or graphics application like Adobe Photoshop to create a grayscale heightmap. Load your heightmap and layer on texture and detail maps to create fantastic terrains.

Rippling Water

Just add a Water Surface Node to your scene and a nice water texture and you have rippling water happiness. You can turn almost any object into a rippling water surface. Go ahead and try!
